Myllerr - . "Point" 2025-X
[Conceptual art/installation, includes 8 × 8 cm 3D print frame, edition ∞/1]
Collection: Resonance

Concept description:
The work is a minimal visual statement: a single point in space.

The point is a representation of a star, from a vantage point where human scale and meaning cease. The reduction is complete: without form, context, or narrative, the world is condensed into a single visual unit.

The physical realization of the work is tied to an 8 × 8 cm square black frame. The frame is not a compositional element, but a specific condition of perception: a limited field of view that reduces the world to a single point. The use of the frame is connected to the body; when held with an outstretched hand, it creates a viewpoint in which the view is narrowed to a minimum.

The final form of the work is not fixed in the present. Its full realization occurs when, when the frame is held up to the night sky at a given location on the planet, conditions are created where a single star point becomes perceptible.

The chosen point is not specified: it can be any star, from any vantage point. The work thus does not designate a specific object, but creates a condition in which the cosmos can be experienced as a single visual unit.

In this sense, the work is both object and event, present form and future experience.

The image does not document; it is created under a given condition. The point is not abstraction, but the minimal resolution of the world.

This work is the open edition of the Resonance series. The 8 × 8 cm 3D printable frame is available for free download. Print it, hold it in your hand, and raise it to the night sky. The piece only fully exists when you meet it – any star can become the point.
